About

Rebecca is a senior associate in the firm’s Real Estate Dispute Resolution team. She primarily focuses on landlord and tenant property disputes including lease renewals, forfeiture, rent recovery, breaches of lease and dilapidations in the commercial and residential sector. She acts for clients across all sectors on contentious and risk management issues relating to their real estate portfolios

She has particular experience and expertise in respect of claims relating to defective cladding and building safety issues under the Building Safety Act 2024. Rebecca is on the UK Government panel for enforcement claims and has successfully acted for both landlords and occupiers.

Rebecca works with her colleagues to achieve a commercial solution to their problem – be that through the Courts, Arbitration of Alternative Dispute Resolution. She is supported by our extensive dispute resolution practice with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise.

She is recognised in Chambers and Partners as an “associate to watch” and is a member of the Property Litigation Association.

  • John Lewis: Acting for the John Lewis Partnership on the asset management of their property portfolio.
  • The Crown Estate: Advising on property risk management across the portfolio.
  • Residential Leaseholders: Successfully acting for a group of residential leaseholders in securing a Remediation Order against their landlord.
  • HNW Landowners: Representing high net worth individual landowners in the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) to discharge restrictive covenants as well as breach of covenant claims.
  • Landlords and Tenants: Advising commercial landlord and tenants on break clauses and effective voluntary possession, as well as dilapidation claims.
  • HNW Individuals: Advising high net worth individuals and commercial clients in respect of encroachment and trespass issues.
