Overview

Richard advises on commercial disputes for large organisations and is experienced in all stages of litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He is also regularly engaged in dispute avoidance and complex contractual management issues for UK and international clients. He has worked on secondment at Airbus in the UK and France. Playing a lead role in our dispute resolution team, Richard works with his colleagues to help clients arrive at the right solution to their issue, minimising impact and maximising success. He is supported by our extensive dispute resolution practice with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise. 

Richard specialises in procurement disputes and has a strong focus on commercial disputes in the healthcare sector.

In procurement, Richard acts in challenges and disputes for both bidders and purchasing authorities, advising on issues of compliance and High Court proceedings.

In the healthcare sector Richard acts for central Government as well as independent health and social care providers.

Richard has broader experience in intellectual property and reputation management issues. He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property law and Practice from the University of Oxford and is a member of the Procurement Lawyers Association.
