Sarah is an associate in the firm’s Pension and Lifetime Savings team, based in Edinburgh. Prior to joining Burges Salmon in 2022, Sarah specialised in employment law and was an A&E Nurse in the NHS and so has a particular interest in public sector pensions work.
Experience
- Buy-ins and buy-outs: Advising on multiple buy-in and buy-out transactions including in relation to use of surplus and winding-up.
- Confidential projects: Advising in relation to a broad range of issues including complex historic documentation issues and the impact on scheme benefits, advice in relation to member cases, scheme closure advice, and drafting bespoke documents.
- Advising in relation to all day-to-day defined benefit and defined contribution matters including ensuring ongoing compliance.
