Overview
Sinead is an associate in the Burges Salmon Pensions team and advises clients on a broad range of pension law issues, in relation to both defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes. 
 
Experience

Sinead has experience advising pension scheme trustees and sponsoring employers on a range of day-to-day pensions matters, including advising on scheme documentation, scheme governance and member queries.

Other experience Sinead has includes:

  • Advising on multiple buy-in projects for schemes of varying values (up to £200 million), as part of our streamlined buy-in process.
  • Advising on the wind-up of a scheme, including guiding the Trustee through the requirements.
  • Working on a large-scale pension scheme merger of three schemes into one new scheme.
  • Advising a large US company on the closure of a UK subsidiary with a DB pension scheme.
  • Advising numerous employers on the pensions aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Advising an employer on complex issues around benefit structure.
  • Advising the trustees of a large multi-employer scheme on master trust authorisation.
  • Advising a large US company on its UK subsidiary’s DB pension scheme going through a demerger and renewing a parent company guarantee.
