About
Tom joined our Corporate tax team in 2025. He has extensive experience in both the legal sector and has worked as a director in the Big Four. Tom has been on client secondment to a large investment bank.
Tom advises on a wide variety of domestic and international tax matters across sectors including financial services, renewables, corporate and real estate.
His expertise encompasses tax advisory, tax-efficient structuring, and providing tax support on transactions. In addition Tom has experience editing a Big Four tax publication.
Experience
- Shipping group: Advised on the UK tax treatment of a reorganisation and redomiciliation of a multinational group.
- Engineering group: Advised on the UK tax treatment of a hivedown and company sale.
- Corporate group: Advised on non-UK company sale with tax indemnities covering Indian tax risk.
- Aircraft leasing company: Advised on aircraft financing arrangements including creating standard forms for JOLCO transactions.
- Technical input into UK tax elements of FW Aviation (Holdings) 1 Limited vs VietJet Aviation Stock Company case.
- Bank: Negotiated UK credit agreements.
