Twm is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution team. He focuses on commercial litigation and has particular experience of working with clients to resolve disputes through litigation and ADR (including mediation).
His experience spans company and shareholder disputes (including unfair prejudice petitions), partnership disputes, civil fraud and asset tracing claims (including applications for freezing orders), other forms of urgent relief, and contractual disputes (including those arising out of corporate transactions.
Experience
- Shareholder: Advising a shareholder in connection with unfair prejudice petitions against its fellow shareholders in a property development joint venture.
- Defendants: Representing the defendants in connection with High Court litigation relating to a partnership for land development, involving allegations of fraud / misappropriation of £10m+, and discharging freezing injunctions obtained by the claimant.
- Liquidators: Acting for the liquidators of a shipping company in Commercial Court proceedings to recover £5 million+ under a letter of indemnity against a defendant based outside of the jurisdiction.
- Liquidators: Acting for liquidators in relation to a multi-million pound claim arising out of a VAT fraud, involving worldwide freezing injunctions and ancillary relief against the defendants.
- Major fashion supplier: Acting for a major fashion supplier in relation to breach of restrictive covenant and breach of confidence claims against its former directors/shareholders, including applications for injunctive relief.
- Secondment: A secondment to the in-house legal team of a major food and drink business.
