About

Will Cadbury is a trainee solicitor in the firm’s Bristol office. He joined Burges Salmon in 2025, having successfully completed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). Will holds an LPC MSc in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law (Bristol), graduating with a high distinction (average 80%), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) from BPP London.

Before starting his training contract, Will gained over two years of experience at Burges Salmon in various legal support roles. He worked as a Dispute Resolution paralegal working on Inquiries of significant national importance, followed by a role in the Banking and Finance team, where he supported on complex transactional matters and contributed to the delivery of high-value financing deals.

Will has also spent time marshalling in both the Ministry of Justice and the Royal Courts of Justice, gaining valuable insight into judicial decision-making and courtroom procedure.

Experience

  • Dispute Resolution: Acted on the most complex matter in the firm’s history on an Inquiry of significant national importance, with a focus on e-discovery and utilising AI to streamline matters.
  • Banking and Finance: Acted for both borrower and lender on various project finance and real estate finance matters, as well as CRI deals.
  • Ministry of Justice/Royal Courts of Justice: Marshalled in both the family and criminal courts assisting the judges, gaining valuable insight into judicial decision-making and courtroom procedure.
  • Asset Management: Assisted with research and analysis across a range of asset classes, contributing to the preparation of client reports and investment proposals.
  • Real Estate Development: Supported the planning and execution of residential and commercial projects, including site appraisals, development feasibility assessments, and liaison with consultants and local authorities to support project delivery.
