The start of the new academic year always heralds the beginning of a busy quarter and never more so than this year. In this “back to school” edition of our newsletter we look at key policy developments over the summer, including the recent publication of draft provisions designed to address the s37 issues arising in the Virgin Media decision, and the outcome of the Government’s consultation on proposing inheritance tax on unused pension funds and death benefits.
Also this month, we bring you the two final articles in our Pension Schemes Bill series – looking at changes for the LGPS and details of the new regime for automatic consolidation of small pots in DC schemes. And there’s a series of articles focusing on key governance issues, and recent ESG developments.
Did you know we also publish a quarterly newsletter dedicated to legal news and developments in the world of public sector pensions?
