The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has published issue 160 of its ombudsman news.
The FOS highlights its new webpage on complaints involving economic and domestic abuse. The webpage covers:
- The information on what constitutes abuse of this kind and the types of complaints the FOS sees and how it looks at them.
- How firms should handle complaints involving economic and domestic abuse, with reference to the FCA’s guidance on the fair treatment of vulnerable customers and UK Finance’s financial abuse code of practice.
- A series of case studies relating to complaints involving economic and domestic abuse.
