Resourcing Specialist

  • Category: Business professional
  • Team: People
  • Location: Bristol
  • Terms: Permanent

The Resourcing team is growing and we are looking for an exceptional Resourcing Specialist to support the continued success of the team. If you are someone who thrives in a fast paced, growing environment and enjoys being challenged to find and recruit top level talent, this could be the role for you.

The Resourcing team is dedicated to attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent to support the firm's strategic goals and ensure its continued success. We manage the entire recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires, and maintain a strong candidate pipeline to quickly fill roles as they arise. Our resourcing team plays a crucial role in achieving our commitment to being a great place to work by ensuring we attract and retain the best talent in the industry.

Your role:

  • You will support the Legal Resourcing Business Partners to ensure our candidates and stakeholders receive an exceptional service.
  • You will act as a key point of contact for candidates as they move through our processes – from first contact at application stage, through to supporting onboarding.
  • As an ambassador for the firm, you will also be pivotal in managing our supplier relationships, developing effective connections with recruitment agencies and headhunters.
  • This role operates across all of Experienced Hire, and whilst the majority of your activity will be within the legal area, you will support the business professional and emerging talent teams during busy periods.

What you'll be doing:

  • Candidate management
    • Conducting screening calls and making recommendations on suitability for progression
    • Supporting candidates through assessment and interview stages
    • Preparing recommendation reports and candidate overviews for review by senior stakeholders
    • Act as a point of liaison during the onboarding process
    • Maintain excellent candidate experience and ensure all applicants are treated with fairness and respect
  • Supplier management
    • Respond to ad hoc agencies enquiries
    • Manage the PSL relationships, coordinate supplier reviews and oversee contractual arrangements
  • Administrative and Coordination support
    • During busy periods support the Coordinators across the Resourcing team with tasks including interview coordination.
    • Provide administrative support where required including processing invoices and updating tracking spreadsheets (e.g. vacancy/budget records)

What we need from you:

  • A can-do, resilient and hard-working attitude. There will be times where this role is not 9-5, but in line with our culture you will be recognised, appreciated and be surrounded by a supportive team
  • Excellent communication skills. You will need to be confident and agile in your approach, with ability to flex your communication style to ensure effective results with different stakeholders groups
  • Ability to manage a varied workload. This role works with a wide variety of stakeholders, both business professional and legal. You must be prepared to adapt to changing deadlines and expectations often at very short notice.
  • Organised and keen to seek out opportunities to improve efficiencies. We are always keen to seek out new and better ways of working – you should be comfortable speaking up and challenging “how things have always been done”
  • Experience of working with candidates in the legal sector is desirable but not essential (either in an agency or in-house setting).
