Role

Resourcing Business Partner

  • Category: Business professional
  • Team: People
  • Location: Bristol
  • Terms: Permanent

We're seeking a Resourcing Business Partner to play a key role in shaping the future leadership of the firm, working closely with the lateral hiring team on Partner and Director‑level hires.

This is a rare opportunity to be at the heart of some of the firm's most important people decisions. You'll work alongside Partners and senior leaders to identify, attract and appoint individuals who will help shape the firm's direction, culture and long‑term success. Your work will directly support the firm's growth ambitions, while staying true to our values and commitment to collaboration and inclusion.

As a Resourcing Business Partner, you'll operate with credibility and confidence in complex, high‑stakes recruitment activity. You'll manage end‑to‑end lateral hiring at senior level, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business and building trusted relationships with executive search partners across all three locations. This is a role for someone who enjoys thinking beyond the brief, navigating ambiguity and balancing multiple senior perspectives to land the right outcome.

You'll bring structure, rigour and calm judgement to sensitive recruitment processes, ensuring robust governance and thoughtful due diligence, while also playing a key role in supporting the successful integration of new Partners and Directors. By helping senior hires find their voice, build connections and make an early impact, you'll contribute to a culture where people can thrive and feel they belong.

This role will suit someone who is energised by solving complex problems, enjoys trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, and is motivated by the opportunity to recruit the leaders who will shape the firm's future - not just for today, but for the long term.

What you'll do

  • Lead Partner and Director lateral recruitment across practice areas and locations.
  • Advise Partners and senior stakeholders on hiring strategy, market conditions and competitor intelligence.
  • Manage complex stakeholder engagement, governance and due diligence processes.
  • Oversee executive search partners and ensure all approaches are managed centrally
  •  Developing executive search agency relationships
  • Deliver a high‑quality candidate experience from first contact through offer, onboarding and integration.
  • Track and report on lateral hiring activity and outcomes.

About you

  • Proven track record of managing complex Partner‑level or senior leadership recruitment processes, ideally in an inhouse environment.
  • Experience of managing executive search firms
  • Experience managing recruitment governance, due diligence and risk‑based decision making
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging at senior leadership and Partner level
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to effectively problem solve
  • Experience within a professional services environment
  • Discreet, professional and trusted with sensitive information.
