July 2026 was a busy month for the LSE’s Private Securities Market with the announcement that two companies (Wayve and Moneybox) had joined the platform and so it is great to start August 2026 with the news that Wadworth & Co Limited’s shares have been admitted to trading on the Asset Match Private Market, an FCA-approved PISCES trading venue.

The Wadworth business was established in 1875 and is one of Britain’s most long-established independent brewers and pub operators. The company has traded it’s A Ordinary Shares quarterly on the Asset Match platform since February 2023 however 11 August 2026 will mark the beginning of its PISCES Designated Auction Period. The auction will be open until 4.00pm on 30 September 2026.

This auction event will allow Wadworth’s shares to be traded by a broader pool of shareholders and over a longer period of time through the extended trading event, demonstrating the capabilities and benefits of using the PISCES framework.

Further information about this trading event, including a link to the research note which has been prepared on Wadworth and access to the auction, can be found on Asset Match’s website here.

For additional information about the PISCES framework, please visit our dedicated PISCES hub or contact one of our PISCES team members at Burges Salmon: AJ Venter, Nigel Watson, Guy Francis, Charlotte Hamilton or Eleanor Furlong.

“Historically, the team at Asset Match has operated a restricted market in the shares, so this move provides an opportunity to broaden awareness of the Company and enable a wider pool of eligible investors to participate in Wadworth's future growth and success.” Simon Townsend, Chair of Wadworth.
