Marcus trained at the firm and qualified into the Construction and Engineering team in August 2025. He is based in Burges Salmon’s Edinburgh office.
He has experience working on both built environment and energy projects, acting for developers and lenders and advising on standard form contracts, including SBCC/JCT, FIDIC and NEC. Marcus has also had in-house experience on secondment to a prominent offshore wind farm developer.

- Hotel Developer: Advising on the extension of an iconic hotel in the city centre of Edinburgh.
- Student Accommodation Portfolio: Advising on the construction aspects on the purchase of a number of student accommodation properties.
- West Ranga Property Group: Advising on the construction of a new retail facility.
- Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners: Assisting on negotiation and drafting of a suite of supply and construction contracts for a 500MW / 1000 MWh battery storage project to be built at Coalburn, near Glasgow.
- Leading Energy Company: Advising on construction contracts for the turbine replacement project for the extension to their existing pumped hydro storage asset.
