AI Regulations for the UK? AI Regulation (Bill) re-introduced

The AI Regulation (Bill) has been re-introduced to the House of Lords following last year's general election and change of government.
The Bill remains the same as when it was first introduced by Lord Holmes in November 2023 - for an overview of what the Bill covers, see our summary here. That Bill then received its first and second reading in the House of Lords with various issues, risks and, most significantly, praise being voiced (see our summary here).
Relatively few private member bills in the House of Lords become law. In any event, they will need to go through the House of Commons and consequently are subject to change.
