Burges Salmon acts for US client Moss on UK acquisition of Rocket Graphics

Independent UK law firm Burges Salmon has again advised Chicago-based Moss, a leading producer of premium graphics, complex structures and custom installations for branded experiences, on its acquisition of Rocket Graphics, a UK-based large format printer that serves creative agencies and live event organisers. Moss is a portfolio company of investment funds managed by EagleTree Capital, a New York-based private equity firm.

Rocket Graphics has built a reputation as a leader in high quality, eco-friendly graphic solutions for exhibitions and large-scale events, and Michael Green, Moss UK’s Managing Director, will lead the combined business with Rocket Graphics’ co-founder, Tim Porter, joining the senior management team as Group Account Director.

The Rocket Graphics acquisition is Moss’s third in the past 16 months and follows its first expansion into the UK with its purchase Macro Art in December 2023, on which Burges Salmon also advised.

The Burges Salmon team was led by Partner Andrew Mills, associate Tom Curnow and solicitor Sam Booth from the firm’s Corporate and M&A team. Andrew comments: “It has been a pleasure to advise Moss again, as it consolidates its footprint in the UK and Europe. Our extensive experience supporting our international clients’ growth with targeted investments into the UK meant we were perfectly placed to assist with this transaction, and look forward to supporting others to follow.”

Moss President and CEO Jason Popp adds: “Expanding in the UK market with a fellow premium provider gives our customers access to both increased capability and proven expertise – all while maintaining the Moss gold standard for exceptional quality and service. It’s exciting to bring two highly successful businesses and teams together. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working once again with Andrew and the Burges Salmon team, their advice is always appropriately tailored, relevant and practical.”

Burges Salmon has a strong Corporate practice in the UK advising clients across a broad range of sectors, including the creative industry. Much of the firm’s work has an international element, helping overseas clients expand into the UK and supporting UK-based businesses grow internationally. Co-ordinating advice for clients across multiple jurisdictions, the firm acts for multi-national organisations and institutions, entrepreneurial businesses and high net worth individuals and their families.
