Shape the Future of Paralegal Services at Burges Salmon

At Burges Salmon, we see potential and nurture it. This is your opportunity to do exactly that.

We are seeking a Paralegal Manager to be a key contributor to our Dispute Resolution (DR) paralegal team during an exciting period of transformation and growth. This is your opportunity to build and lead a refreshed, repurposed unit and play a pivotal role in its long-term success.

You'll have the autonomy to innovate, the resources to implement your ideas, and the backing of senior leadership. Your approach will be future-focused and innovative, always looking ahead to new possibilities. This is not just about managing a team - it's about architecting the future of paralegal services within a leading law firm.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage a consolidated team – recruitment, supervision, pastoral care, and day-to-day oversight.
  • Optimise operations – triage work, allocate resources, and ensure smooth delivery of support services.
  • Improve processes – implement best practices for effective delivery to lawyers and clients.
  • Development – collaborate with Advisory (HR) on performance management and development opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a legal environment, including but not limited to private practice.
  • Paralegal experience (highly desirable)
  • Ability to supervise, motivate and develop a team, including pastoral care and performance management.
  • Skilled in workload allocation, resource planning and utilisation optimisation.
  • A proactive mindset to build structure, efficiency and team culture.
  • Clear, confident communicator.

At Burges Salmon, we genuinely care about people. You'll nurture talent, create career pathways, and build a supportive culture that attracts and retains exceptional talent. Your ideas will shape how we work and influence the future of paralegal services across the practice.

If you are ready for an exciting new opportunity, please apply now!
