Pursuits Manager

Do you enjoy the challenge of strategic bids, where close collaboration, shared accountability and high standards make the difference?

We're looking for a Pursuits Manager to play a central role in some of the firm's most important bids, tenders and client opportunities.

You do not need to have worked in legal to succeed in this role.  We welcome people from different sectors who bring curiosity, sound judgement and fresh thinking, and who are confident working in complex, high-standards environments.

In this role, you will work closely with partners, lawyers and colleagues across the business to turn deep expertise into clear, persuasive client propositions.  You will help shape the approach to each opportunity, bring pace and focus to the process, and support teams to produce work that is thoughtful, well judged and of a consistently high standard.

What you'll be doing

You will lead strategic bids and tenders from early conversations through to submission and presentation.  You will work with partners and lawyers to draw out the firm's strengths, shape the overall response and help teams focus on the choices that will make the greatest difference.

You will write and refine clear, persuasive content, while also influencing and challenging stakeholders constructively to strengthen the final proposition.    You will keep momentum behind each opportunity, identify risks early and work with colleagues to resolve them in a practical way.

You will also help teams prepare for presentations and interviews, and build strong, trusted relationships across the firm so that people can work openly, confidently and effectively together.  Alongside delivery, you will contribute to how we keep improving our pursuits capability by bringing ideas, testing better ways of working and helping us continue to raise the quality of what we do.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working with a range of people, enjoys bringing clarity to complex opportunities and is motivated by helping teams deliver strong outcomes.

You will likely have experience working on complex bids, tenders or proposals, together with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and challenge constructively where needed.    You will be a strong communicator who can turn detailed input into something clear, persuasive and client-focused, and you will be able to stay organised and focused in a fast-moving environment.  Just as importantly, you will bring a collaborative mindset, good judgement and a genuine interest in learning from others.

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to work on the opportunities that help shape the firm's future and to do so alongside people who are recognised experts in their field.  You will have the space to grow your skills, contribute ideas and make a visible impact in an environment that values trust, openness, shared effort and high-quality work.
