Reducing the impact of our activities on the environment is important to our business. We monitor our carbon footprint from our main activities, including:

  • procurement and use of manufactured and natural resources at our offices (such as paper and electricity)
  • waste generation from our offices
  • energy use through travel.

During Bristol’s European Green Capital year, the firm was appointed Official Legal Services Partner, and we took the opportunity to launch an internal ‘green pledges’ initiative.

Since then we have had 550 pledges from our people to reduce the impact on the environment through a myriad of actions. These pledges include using the stairs instead of the lifts, walking or cycling into work, re-fuelling their car tank to half the deposit, not using plastic cutlery, taking part in 'Meat-free Mondays' and switching to a renewable energy company.

The success of our carbon footprint reduction is down to all our people: how much they print, recycle and how they commute to work. We are continually working towards more sustainable working practices.
