Webinar on-demand: Group Corporate Activity - When will TPR’s new powers apply

In this webinar, we consider the Pension Regulators new powers to police corporate activity and how employers, trustees and advisers can ensure they stay out of jail

16 December 2021

The Pensions Regulator has been given new powers in relation to policing corporate activity that may lead to adverse impacts on the security of accrued defined benefit pensions, including the threat of criminal sanctions in some cases.

In this webinar, Burges Salmon director Crispin Freeman and Simon Taylor, partner at Barnett Waddingham, analyse a number of scenarios within a case-study to consider when these new powers might apply. They also consider the steps that should be taken by employers, trustees and advisers involved to make sure they stay on the right side of the law.

We hope you will find this conversation useful and if you have any questions on the topics which were covered, please do get in touch.
