The impact of the UK’s independence from the EU on the UK’s chemical and manufacturing industries will be significant. As well as a UK replacement for EU REACH, the UK will have increased freedom over its approach to environmental standards and compliance, emissions and air quality, waste and the circular economy and climate change law.

As part of the Chemical Industries Association webinar series, experts from Burges Salmon LLP consider the government’s agenda to deliver 'the most ambitious environmental programme of any country on earth' through the Environment Bill and other measures, and discuss what this means for UK industry. In this one-hour session we set out what we already know (and what we don’t) about the UK Government’s plans for environmental regulation outside the EU and explore the likely challenges that will need to be navigated by chemical companies and product manufacturers/importers at the end of the transition period and beyond.
