Increases to the rates of statutory sick pay (SSP) and the prescribed rate for statutory maternity pay (SMP), statutory paternity pay (SPP) and statutory adoption pay (SAP) have now been announced and will apply from 6 April 2014.
The new rates are:
- £138.18 for SMP, SPP and SAP, increased from £136.78 per week
- £87.55 for SSP, increased from £86.70 per week
