PPF re-certification

The annual deadline for trustees of DB occupational pension schemes to certify PPF standard form contingent assets (to reduce their scheme’s PPF levy) falls on 31 March 2020

30 January 2020

This is the final year of a three-year period during which the PPF sought to maintain stability in its Levy Rules, and accordingly few changes have been made.

The Levy Rules and Contingent Asset Appendix can be downloaded from the PPF’s website here.

There were no changes for Type B contingent assets (charges over property or investments), and only minor changes to Type A contingent assets (parental guarantees) - primarily in relation to the guarantor strength report and guarantees over service companies.
