With a team led by corporate partner Nick Graves, Burges Salmon has acted as UK counsel in advising svt Holding GmbH ("svt") on its acquisition of UK-based Technical Fire Safety Group Limited ("TFSG"). svt is a portfolio company of the Ergon svt Long Term Value Fund SCSp advised by Ergon Capital. Burges Salmon acted alongside Noerr (lead international counsel) with a team led by private equity partner Holger H. Ebersberger.
Through the complementary combination, svt and TFSG foster their leading position in the European market for passive fire protection products and applications. The combined group has more than 1,500 employees and generates a turnover of more than EUR 300 million with a particular strong market presence in Germany, France, and the UK, a new key geography for svt.
svt employs more than 1,100 people and is one of the leading manufacturers of state-of-the-art fire protection products and industrial fire protection applications in Europe. In addition, svt is a provider of comprehensive services in passive structural fire protection, damage restoration as well as planning and organisational fire protection. TFSG has over 400 employees and is a leading British organisation in the fire safety sector. TFSG management re-invests in the combined group.
