Burges Salmon appointed to latest National LGPS Legal Services Framework

The firm has been appointed to four lots across the newly re-launched LGPS Legal Services Framework

18 January 2019

Burges Salmon has been appointed to the following four lots across the latest Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) procurement framework for legal services:

  • Full Service (England and Wales)
  • Investment (UK Wide)
  • Benefit Administration, Employer Bodies and Governance (England and Wales)
  • Benefit Administration, Employer Bodies and Governance (Northern Ireland)

The new framework for legal services will help LGPS Funds and Pools access a variety of legal services tailored to their specific needs for single engagements through to long-term arrangements from a range of tested legal providers. It follows the previous National LGPS legal services framework launched in 2015.

Michael Hayles, a partner in the Pensions team at Burges Salmon, says: “We’re delighted to have been appointed to this framework, which will improve access to specialist legal services for LGPS Funds and Pools and wider public service schemes. The appointment builds on our expertise and previous work that we have undertaken at the firm for LGPS funds and it’s great to be recognised as trusted legal specialist in the pensions sector.”
