Now in their 25th year, the Personnel Today Awards celebrate the very best achievements and innovations in HR and L&D amongst a wide variety of organisations, in both the public and private sectors, across a diverse range of categories.

The ‘Employment Law Firm of the Year’ category recognises the important work that employment law teams are undertaking for their HR clients. Entrants are judged on their ability to demonstrate tangible examples of performance and innovative thinking, along with providing details of how client service sets them apart from others.

Luke Bowery, a partner in Burges Salmon’s Employment team, says: “To be named as a finalist in the ‘Employment Law Firm of the Year’ category at these awards is terrific. This shortlisting is in recognition of the team’s work supporting clients and the wider HR community through a variety of challenges that they’ve faced over the past year, including the cost-of-living crisis. I’m really proud of our entire team who have worked tirelessly over the past year to continue providing our clients with such excellent levels of service, in addition to producing work on a daily basis that really does help shape the employment law landscape in the UK.”

Burges Salmon’s Employment team advises clients throughout all UK jurisdictions, and across the world through an international network of leading independent law firms. The team works for FTSE 100 and 250 listed companies, household name employers and major public sector employers as well as a wide variety of other businesses and those in the not-for-profit sector. It regularly advises on high-profile and business-critical projects for these clients. The team is also active in helping to shape UK employment law and participates actively in numerous employment law organisations and committees.

Having been named Employment Law Firm of the Year at Personnel Today Awards in 2021, the firm’s Employment team was further strengthened in June 2023 with the announcement of Katherine Flower’s appointment as a new partner.

Winners of The Personnel Today Awards 2023 will be announced at a ceremony set to take place in London on Tuesday 21 November 2023.
