Burges Salmon is pleased to announce the appointment of Silvana Van der Velde, who joins the firm as a director in its Corporate Tax team.
Silvana joins the firm from Travers Smith, where she was a senior associate in its Tax Department.
Silvana has extensive experience in the area of corporate tax, primarily within the private equity sector. Silvana specialises in transactional tax and provides advice to a diverse range of clients including investors, corporates, and management teams. Her areas of expertise cover a broad spectrum of M&A, structuring, and advisory tax matters, encompassing both domestic and international contexts.
Qualified in Scots law, Silvana is a Chartered Tax Adviser and member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
