Burges Salmon has been awarded the top prize at the West of England Carbon Challenge (WECC) Awards in the Best Large Enterprise category for its Environmental Performance.

The awards ceremony, which took place in Bristol on Tuesday 2 December 2014, celebrated the achievements of the organisations involved in WECC.

Awards were presented to WECC Champions to recognise those who are already going the extra mile in sustainable business practice and are making Bristol and the West of England a great place to live and work.

Burges Salmon was praised in particular for the staff engagement initiatives that it has implemented, its ISO 14001 accreditation and the fact that it continually monitors the use of its building from an environmental perspective.

Partner, Alan Barr, said: “It is great to know that not only has the firm one of the UK’s leading Environmental practices it also puts into practice in its own business award-winning environmental procedures and practices.  This Award is a clear demonstration that Burges Salmon is market leading - many congratulations to everyone involved in securing this prestigious award for the firm.”
