20 October 2015

Our Transport team, which is part of the Venturer driverless vehicles consortium in Bristol, will be attending Highways UK and participating with presentations on the following topics:

  • Highways infrastructure joint ventures – how to maximise success and avoid bear traps.
  • Connected and autonomous vehicles – creating a legal and insurance system to drive change.

We will be on hand to talk about the major issues in the sector, including the following:

  • Health and safety law – criminal liability for manufacturers?
  • Data and the Highway – how to exploit it legally, who it belongs to and how to ensure security.
  • What can we learn from ORR's railway role about its likely approach to roads?
  • The liability landscape for driverless vehicles.
  • Will public procurement rules get in the way of new technology?
  • Consenting for new roads.
  • Who is going to own intellectual property in the digital transport age?
  • How can you form a JV that will stand the test of delivering such huge projects?

Please visit us at stand A15 throughout the conference.
