Overview

Alexia qualified as a solicitor in March 2018 and joined Burges Salmon’s Real Estate department in May 2019. Alexia undertakes a range of real estate transactions including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, and investment portfolio asset management with a particular focus in the energy sector. Alexia advises investors and developers in relation to many different types of energy projects including waste-to-energy projects, battery storage and gas peaking plants.

Experience
  • Acting for a wind and solar farm developer in relation to its key energy projects throughout England & Wales.
  • Negotiating options and leases, and undertaking detailed analysis of landowner titles and advising on bankability and operational issues.
  • Advising real estate developers on asset management across their varied portfolios including retail, leisure, hospitality and office space.
  • Assisting a renewable energy developer on the financing and disposal of its portfolio of gas peaking plants.
  • Advising a utility sector client on the development of its UK-wide portfolio of synchronous condenser projects.
  • Acting for several charities on a pro-bono basis to assist with general real estate queries and matters.
