Alistair Rattray Director

Alistair is a director in the banking and finance team, specialising in real estate finance, and specifically housing (including student accommodation) and healthcare. He also has significant expertise in corporate and leverage finance and asset backed lending.

Alistair acts for a range of clients, including banks, FTSE100/250 companies, funds and institutional investors funds, on syndicated and bilateral transactions.

• Advising HSBC Bank and Bank Leumi (UK) on a £125 million revolving credit facility to Audley Group to fund existing and future developments of Audley Group's retirement villages.
• Advising an institutional investor in relation to the provision of £16million facilities for the development and operation of two specialist care homes in North West England.
• Acting for an investment fund on investment and development facilities for its portfolio of 6 build-to-rent residential properties in central and Northern England.
• Advising HSBC Bank on the banking facilities for a £380million residential-led development in Silvertown providing 1,100 new homes.
• Advising NatWest Bank in relation to a £20million facility to a housing association subsidiary for the development of residential properties.
• Acting for a bank on the sale and ongoing servicing of a £120million residential mortgage book.
• Advising Somerset Care Limited on its banking facilities for the operation and development of its care home portfolio
• Advising the HSBC Bank on the £80million development facilities to a joint venture between a national housebuilder and a housing association for the provision of homes in central England
• Advising The Royal Bank of Scotlandon a £25 million development facility to a housebuilder to build 1,000 new homes.
• Preparing a suite of precedent housing and housebuilder facility documents for a leading clearing bank.
• Acting for a leading Islamic Bank in relation to a £20 million sharia'h term loan facility in relation to a PRS scheme in London.
