Overview

Andrew is a senior associate in the firm's dispute resolution team and acts for commercial clients in complex and multi-party disputes concerning:

  • procurement (advisory and litigation)
  • rail and transport
  • technology
  • financial services disputes and regulation
  • contractual and commercial disputes.

Andrew works with his colleagues to help clients arrive at the right solution to their issue, minimising impact and maximising success. He is supported by our extensive dispute resolution practice with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise.

Andrew's experience includes High Court proceedings, as well as advising clients on alternative forms of dispute resolution, including expert determinations and mediation.

Experience
  • Acting for Financial Services Compensation Scheme Limited (FSCS) on its PPI recoveries project, pursuing recoveries from lenders pursuant to s.140 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 following the Supreme Court’s decision in the case of Plevin v Paragon Personal Finance Ltd 2014 UKSC 61.
  • Acting for FSCS, pursuing recoveries from a corporate trustee company in relation to SIPP investments made in an off-shore development.  
  • Advising train operating companies and freight operating companies in respect of procurement and track access issues, regulatory issues and health and safety issues.  
  • Acting for a leading provider of health and social care services in complex contractual dispute.
