Overview

Bethan is a senior associate in the firm’s corporate team and has a broad range of experience working with both domestic and international clients on a variety of corporate matters including:

  • equity investments
  • mergers and acquisitions (private and public)
  • group reorganisations
  • joint ventures.

Bethan is a member of the firm’s energy and utilities team. Since 2020 she has specialised in acting for developers, investors and funders on corporate matters involving clean energy technologies and projects, including solar, battery storage, wind, waste and anaerobic digestion.

Experience
  • Advising Bluefield Solar Income Fund on several significant M&A transactions, including the acquisition of a portfolio of 15 operational solar photovoltaic plants, and the separate acquisition of a 93.2MWp solar and wind portfolio.
  • Advising Rivington Solar Limited (part of the Renewables Connections development business) and European Energy UK Limited on the sale of two ‘shovel-ready’ co-located solar and battery storage projects based in Scotland.
  • Advising Macquarie-owned Beauparc on its acquisition of Yorkshire waste specialist Acumen Waste Services.
  • Advising Pulse Clean Energy Limited on its acquisition of a 99MW battery energy storage system in Hampshire from Harmony Energy Income Trust plc.
  • Advising Icomera and INEO on the separate acquisitions of customer-facing digital services provider for transport operators, GoMediaServices, and tech-enabled design and engineering services business, DG8.
  • Advising RDC Partners LLP on the sale of rights to construct a 50MW onshore wind farm in South Lanarkshire to Octopus Renewables.
  • Advising Temporis Capital on the joint acquisition of a 52.9MW onshore wind farm in Blackcraig, Scotland.
  • Advising Waitrose on the sale of heritage food guide, The Good Food Guide, to respected industry media platform CODE Hospitality.
  • Advising Michelmersh Brick Holdings PLC Group on its several acquisitions and fundraising activities, including its acquisition of leading brick fabricator and manufacturer FabSpeed Holdings Ltd, its acquisition of a Belgian clay brick manufacturing business, and a related £5 million equity fundraising.
