Overview

Daniel is a solicitor in the firm's projects team. He trained with the firm prior to qualifying in 2017. Daniel has experience working for both public and private sector clients, with a particular focus on rail projects, including franchising issues and rolling stock procurement. 

Experience
  • Assisted Abellio with its rolling stock procurement during mobilisation of the West Midlands Franchise.
  • Supported the drafting of the Welsh Government's bespoke franchise agreement and associated contracts as part of the re-letting of the Wales and Borders franchise and infrastructure improvements relating to electrification and the introduction of light rail in and around Cardiff. 
  • Advised the Welsh Government on its approval of existing rolling stock related contracts and the procurement of new rolling stock by the incoming operator, during its mobilisation of the Wales and Borders franchise.  
  • Advising Bristol Airport on its provision of airport services to EasyJet and Ryanair.
  • Advising train operators on contactless payment smart ticketing arrangements and associated revenue allocations including in the London area. 
  • Advising Transpennine Express on the drafting of a service contract as part of its tender for depot operation and maintenance services.
