Overview

Eilidh qualified as a solicitor in Scotland in 2018. She joined Burges Salmon in January 2021.

Eilidh's broad experience includes advising both employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment law issues covering the full lifecycle of the employment relationship.

She conducts employment tribunal litigation in both Scotland and England, ranging from unlawful deductions from wages and unfair dismissal claims through to more complex discrimination claims. Eilidh has experience conducting advocacy at all stages of Tribunal proceedings, including attendance at judicial mediation.

She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Experience
  • Acting for a major national retailer in employment tribunal litigation, including defending claims of unlawful deductions from wages, unfair dismissal, and complex discrimination claims.
  • Providing regular HR advice on a range of employment law issues for a FTSE-100 defence and security group.
  • Drafting various employment and HR-related contractual and policy documentation for a variety of different businesses.
  • Delivered client training on a range of issues including reasonable adjustments and managing disciplinaries.
  • Providing employment support in connection with corporate transactions.
  • Advised the Citizens Advice Bureau on a pro-bono basis.
