Employment disputes and tribunal litigation

Our extensive experience of managing employment disputes means you can trust us to handle the most complex of claims. We’ll be strategic in approach and robust in delivery.

Navigating employment disputes can be challenging for employers, but our team is here to help.

We know that employee disputes and grievances come in all shapes and sizes and if not handled strategically, issues can escalate disproportionately and become time-consuming and disruptive.

We advise clients daily on a wide range of employee complaints and grievances, whether from individuals or groups of employees. This knowledge allows us to identify a workable approach to resolving the issue that aligns with your business, its values and risk appetite.

If an issue escalates to a formal dispute, we have extensive experience in defending employment claims, in the tribunal and appellate courts. This includes whistleblowing, discrimination, and National Minimum Wage litigation. We also advise on collective disputes arising from TUPE transfers and collective consultation complaints.

We represent employers in High Court litigation including the enforcement of restrictive covenants and injunctions to prevent strike action.

Given the nature of the disputes we deal with, we also regularly work alongside internal PR teams and agencies where claims carry potential reputational risk.

It is increasingly common for employees to make data subject access requests (DSAR) alongside their grievance or employment tribunal claim. Advising alongside on strategic implications that might arise, we can manage these requests for you –please see our data protection, pay and compliance page.

Where reaching a settlement is the best conclusion we can advise and negotiate on your behalf to make sure terms are acceptable and documentation tightly drafted.
