Overview

Elin is a Senior Associate in the Banking and Finance Team. She has been with the firm since 2010 and trained here. Elin specialises in project financing with particular focus on energy and infrastructure projects advising lenders, borrowers and sponsors.

Elin also has substantial experience in general corporate finance, acquisition finance and real estate finance.

Experience
  • Acting for Bluefield Solar on the re-financing of its £110m loan with Natwest including the accession of Yelvertoft, Bluefields first CfD solar project.
  • Acting for an infrastructure fund on the portfolio financing of a hybrid multi fuel /battery generating units.
  • Acting for Core as borrower in relation to the financing by abrdn of eight community interest solar projects.
  • Acting for an investment fund as purchaser in relation to the acquisition of 16 mixed portfolio renewable energy projects with existing financing with three different funders.
  • Providing advice to Temporis as agent and USS as lender in connection with the financing of a wind farm in Scotland, including drafting the facility agreement and security documents
  • Advising London Waste and Recycling Board and Investec Bank as senior project finance lenders to the TEG Dagenham anaerobic digestion/MBT plant
  • Advising London Waste and Recycling Board on the financing of the development, construction and operation of a plastic reprocessing facility in central London
  • Advising Belltown in relation to a £45 million project financing by Macquarie of a 53.7MW portfolio of six operational renewable energy projects across 2 different technologies (wind and solar). The facility was a combination of index linked and fixed rate debt.
  • Advising Ingenious on the project refinance of a portfolio of solar farms including senior and shareholder debt.
  • Advising Elios Energy Limited on the finance and security aspects of its acquisition of Elios Renewable Energy Limited (together with its interests in c.90 operational solar PV projects) from Lightsource Renewable Energy Holdings Limited, together with associated pre-sale, and post-sale, reorganisations
