Overview

Euan leads the real estate side of the energy, power and utilities sector group and has vast expertise over 20 years in first-of-a-kind projects across all of the key technologies including: nuclear, renewables, oil and gas, waste, water and energy storage.

Within the renewable energy sphere, Euan’s team has transacted over 1,000 deals for developers, investors and funders in relation to various clean technologies including onshore wind, offshore wind, biomass, wave, tidal, hydro, solar, geothermal, anaerobic digestion and energy from waste. He also represents a number of clients in relation to smart grid, demand response and battery storage projects and he previously sat on the Scottish Renewables Offshore Wind Strategy Group during an active period in the growth of the UK’s offshore wind industry.

Euan is qualified to practice in all three jurisdictions within the United Kingdom: England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland and represents clients with UK wide real estate portfolios across all aspects of the typical commercial property life cycle. 

Euan is also Burges Salmon's finance partner and sits on the firm's management committee.
