Overview

Jonathan joined the firm as a trainee in 2004 and qualified in 2006. He is a partner in the firm's corporate finance team specialising in the Energy and Healthcare sectors.

Jonathan works with public and private companies and advises on a broad range of corporate matters including acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, funding rounds, joint development arrangements and general aspects of company law.

As a member of the firm's energy and utilities team, Jonathan has acted for a range of developers, investors and funders across a range of technologies including solar, wind, biomass, hydro, anaerobic digestion, battery storage and energy from waste projects.

Experience
  • Advising Bluefield Solar Income Fund on its £112.4 million acquisition of a 93.2MWp UK-based solar and wind portfolio and its related entry into a new £200m revolving credit facility with RBSi and Santander to finance the acquisition. 
  • Advising the infrastructure fund of ICG, the global alternative asset manager, on its acquisition of British Solar Renewables (BSR), one of the largest integrated solar developers in the UK.
  • Advising the sellers of the renewable energy company Anesco on its disposal to the US-European joint venture Aksiom Services Group.
  • Advising Fulcrum BioEnergy Ltd on Jet2 plc’s investment in the Fulcrum NorthPoint facility (a new Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production plant).
  • Advising Balance Power on a milestone partnership with TagEnergy to build, own, and operate 500MW of new energy storage projects in the UK.
