Overview

Nick heads the firm's corporate team. He specialises in complex corporate transactions. His experience includes advising clients on complex mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, capital markets fundraisings and corporate governance projects.

He advises a wide range of public and private companies and private individuals on company law and corporate governance issues. Nick has also worked alongside a number of UK government entities on a range of complex business transformation projects.

He also provides general corporate and regulatory advice, including advice on the Listing Rules, the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Prospectus Rules and the Takeover Code.

Nick advises clients active in a range of sectors including infrastructure, manufacturing, nuclear and renewables.

Experience
  • Advising The Co-operative Group Ltd on an intra-group reorganisation and £249 million disposal to the Wellcome Trust.
  • Advising ENGIE (formerly GDF SUEZ) on the acquisition of leading wind energy developer West Coast Energy.
  • Advising the founders of Kaisen Consulting on the sale to Deloitte UK.
  • Advising DECC on the formation of the new Oil and Gas Authority.
  • Advising the UK Competition Commission (now the CMA) on corporate aspects of the sale of Gatwick Airport for £1.5 billion. Nick also advised the CC on the sales of Edinburgh and Stansted Airports.
