About
Rupert is a partner in the firm’s Corporate team. He is highly experienced in M&A transactions (both private and public), joint ventures and fundraisings, and advises on both domestic and cross border transactions for a wide range of private and public companies. He has particular experience in the hotels and leisure, transport, financial services, and defence sectors.
Experience
- Advising on the sale of a portfolio of 33 Marriott International Hotels, comprising 6,500 keys, to a joint venture between KKR and The Baupost Group.
- Balaena Group: Advising Balaena on the acquisition of the APCL Group from Peel Group. APCL owns and operates shipyard facilities across the UK supporting a range of industrial, defence and infrastructure activity.
- FirstGroup: advising on numerous M&A transactions (including the acquisition of RATP London and the sale of Mistral Data to Tracsis plc) and in relation to its bus fleet and infrastructure decarbonisation programme.
- Saltus Group: Advising on a number of bolt on acquisitions in the wealth management sector, having advised Saltus on a significant investment by Preservation Capital Partners.
- Callen Lenz: advising to the sale of UAS developer Callen Lenz to BAE Systems.
- Virgin Hotels: Advising on the acquisition and opening of Virgin Hotels London Shoreditch.
