Alice is an associate in the Tax, Trusts, and Family team, specialising in matters with an international element. She has experience in a broad range of private client work including UK tax planning for UK resident and non-resident, UK domiciled and non-domiciled individuals, and cross-border estate planning.
She regularly advises on the UK taxation of non-UK resident trusts, and on the establishment and management of trusts and other asset holding structures for HNW and UHNW individuals (including the establishment of charitable entities). Alice enjoys working with a broad range of clients, often across generations, and finds it rewarding to offer tailored solutions to complex problems.
Experience
- UNHW individual: Advising on estate planning for an UHNW individual with assets in multiple jurisdictions, liaising with her other advisors to create a co-ordinated approach to the client’s needs.
- Trust advice: Providing advice in relation to a high value offshore trust and ongoing support to the professional trustees.
- HNW individual: Advising a HNW individual on their residence and domicile.
- Offshore trusts: Advising the beneficiaries of a substantial offshore family trust structure on succession planning, including consideration of the tax implications for family members in various jurisdictions.
- Senior executive of a bank: Assisting the senior executive of an international bank with an application for British Citizenship.
