Alice is a solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team. Her practice straddles regulatory enforcement, health and safety investigations and public inquiries.
She specialises in criminal safety investigations and prosecutions, inquests and inquiries. Her experience includes acting on several sensitive matters for commercial clients across a range of sectors including transport, leisure and energy.
Experience
- Post Office Limited: Acting for Post Office Limited in their role as Core Participant to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry. This included advising Post Office on their approach to Phases 5 to 7 of the inquiry and ongoing disclosure obligations.
- Coroner’s inquests: Acting on a number of Coroner’s inquests for sensitive rail-related fatalities. Including advising clients on their role as Interested Persons and the response to Prevention of Future Death reports.
- Leisure sectori client: Advising a client in the leisure sector on a prosecution brought by a local authority following a death of a member of the public, and the subsequent inquest proceedings.
- Application of regulations: Advising several companies on the application of the COMAH Regulations and DSEAR Regulations following incidents on site.
- Experience in delivering training to directors and senior managers on their health and safety duties and obligations.
- Global food and agricultural company: Acting for a global food and agricultural company on a contractual dispute following a wind turbine fire.
