Amy is an associate in the firm’s Construction and Engineering team. She provides advice on all types of construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on energy and renewables, private sector real estate development and finance, and infrastructure.
She has worked on a number of large and complex, multi-party, fast-paced transactions, adeptly handling the differing interests of various stakeholders.
Amy has experience advising private developers, lenders, and investors across the UK and Ireland. She represents a diverse mix of developers, consultants, contractors, and funders, and regularly advises on all types of standard form contracts, including JCT/SBCC, FIDIC, NEC, and IChemE. Her expertise spans a range of projects, including build contracts, EPC and O&M contracts, and consultant appointments.
Experience
- Leading Energy Company: Advising on construction contracts for the turbine replacement project and the procurement strategy, FEED, OEM and civils EPCs, for the extension to their existing pumped hydro storage asset.
- Lenders: On the negotiation of EPC and O&M documents for a subsidy-free new build co-located solar / wind scheme in Scotland, including private wire arrangements.
- ENGIE: Advising ENGIE on the development of a multi-technology low carbon energy generation park at Keele University, including wind turbines, a solar farm and battery storage, as part of a 25-year operation and energy supply arrangement.
- Eden Geothermal: Advising on NEC and LOGIC contracts for works and services connected to an EU-funded geothermal project.
- Leading Hotel Property Company: Advising on the purchase and extension of a hotel in Edinburgh, advising and conducted due diligence review on construction aspects of all assets located in the UK to facilitate their refinancing process.
- Transport for Wales / Welsh Government: Assisting on the construction strategy, preparation of construction documentation for complex and transformative £5bn Wales and Borders Rail franchise and South West Metro transport scheme.
