Caitlin is a solicitor in the Real Estate Energy team based in the Edinburgh Office.
In the renewable energy sector, Caitlin has experience advising on a wide range of renewable energy projects – including onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydrogen, battery storage projects, carbon capture storage, wave and tidal energy and associated pipeline and cable agreements.
Caitlin also works closely with the firm’s Banking and Corporate teams providing property support for energy financing and corporate acquisitions and disposals.
In the built environment sector, Caitlin has experience in the acquisition, disposal, leasing and development of commercial property.
Experience
- Various: Advising developer clients on the development and associated financing of large-scale renewable energy projects (hydrogen, BESS, solar and wind).
- Crown Estate Scotland: Advised on offshore wind, wave and tidal, carbon storage projects.
- Asset management: Including negotiation of leases and other ancillary leasehold documents.
- Corporate M&A transactions: Advising on the real estate aspects of corporate M&A transactions.
