Carla is an associate in the Real Estate team and has acted for a variety of high-profile clients across a wide range of real estate transactions including regeneration and development work, investment and asset management (with a particular focus on landlord and tenant transactions), refinancing and renewable energy, comprising both primary and secondary market transactions.
Her experience in such transactions has been varied, from assisting a wider team with title due diligence, to running discrete deals and leading client teams on a number of projects. This includes leading from a real estate perspective on large-scale cross-departmental projects working closely with the Planning, Construction, Energy, Transport and Procurement teams
Experience
- Zorin Finance: Advising on the £72 million investment portfolio refinance for Zorin Finance, reviewing and reporting on multiple CLLS Certificates of Title.
- Transport for Wales: Acting on the development and acquisition of a depot site and the re-development/upgrade of a rail depot to a multi-purpose depot including both rail and bus service.
- Blackfinch Investments Ltd: Acting on the acquisition of various hotels and apartment blocks as part of a credit bid pursuant to insolvency proceedings.
- Solar, wind and battery development and secondary market projects: Leading on multiple projects, including drafting, negotiating, exchanging and advising on bankable project documents, and running and supervising teams.
- Waste to energy refinery project: Acting on an innovative privately funded development for a waste to energy refinery project which will be the first of its kind in the UK; and
- Developer: Acting on a forward-funded development project for the construction of a large-scale logistics warehouse.
