About
Elin is a senior associate in the firm’s Banking and Finance team, having been with the firm since 2010. She specialises in project financing with particular focus on energy and infrastructure projects, representing lenders, borrowers and sponsors. She has extensive experience in renewable energy financing, across a wide range of technologies including solar, wind, batteries and waste.
In addition to her expertise in project finance, Elin also has substantial experience in general corporate finance, acquisition finance and real estate finance.
Experience
- Atlantic Green: Acting for Atlantic Green on the £152 million financing of the 624MWh Cellarhead Battery Energy Storage Project. This landmark project is one of the largest UK BESS projects being developed in the UK to date.
- Rock Road: Acting for Rock Road on the launch of a £100 million funding platform created through the partnership between Rock Rail, Aviva and National Wealth Fund together with senior debt facility from NWF and HSBC to fund up to 250 zero-emission buses.
- Aura Power: Advising on the £44 million project financing from Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A, of the construction of Aura Power’s 49.9MW Kemble solar farm.
- Bluefield Solar: Acting on the re-financing of Bluefield’s £110 million loan with NatWest which included the accession of Yelvertoft, Bluefields first CfD solar project.
- Community Owned Renewable Energy LLP: Acting for CORE in relation to the senior financing by abrdn and junior financing by Big Society Capital and Power to Change of eight community interest solar projects.
- Temporis: Acting on the financing of a wind farm in Scotland, including drafting and negotiating all finance documents.
