Elizabeth trained at Burges Salmon and qualified into the Employment team in September 2020.

She has broad experience advising both employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Her practice includes day-to-day HR advisory work as well as complex dispute resolution.

Elizabeth regularly advises clients on all aspects of UK employment law, with particular expertise in resolving disputes and defending employment tribunal claims. She has experience in handling disciplinary and grievance procedures, and dismissal processes.

In addition, Elizabeth supports clients with a variety of employment-related matters, including drafting and reviewing senior employment contracts and workplace policies, providing corporate transactional support, and advising on employee exits including preparing and negotiating settlement agreements.

Elizabeth is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

  • Major retailer: Representing a major retailer in respect of several Employment Tribunal claims encompassing the full spectrum of claims.
  • Household name businesses: Managing complex employment tribunal claims including complex discrimination, whistleblowing, pay and unfair dismissal claims, and ones which are sensitive and reputationally damaging.
  • Employment queries: Advising on the full range of employment matters including in relation to disciplinary matters and dismissals and drafting documentation for negotiated exits and settlement.
  • Drafting contracts: Drafting contracts of employment, service agreements, HR policies and handbooks for a wide range of businesses.
  • Corporate transactions: Regularly advising clients across a variety of sectors on the employment law aspects of corporate transactions.
