Ellie trained at Burges Salmon and qualified into the Employment team in September 2020.

She has experience advising both employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment issues.

Ellie regularly advises on HR and employment law issues including disciplinary and grievance processes, dismissals, settlement agreements, redundancy exercises and reviewing contracts and policies. She conducts employment tribunal litigation including unfair dismissal and discrimination claims.

Ellie is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

  • Acting for a major national retailer in employment tribunal litigation, including defending claims of unfair dismissal and discrimination claims.
  • Assisting with a redundancy consultation exercise for a UK-based chemical company.
  • Drafting various employment and HR-related contractual and policy documentation for a variety of different businesses, including preparing detailed employee handbooks.
  • Assisting across all stages of employment tribunal litigation for a FTSE-250 defence and security group, including in complex discrimination claims.
  • Carrying out a review and revision of a suite of employment contracts for a listed healthcare company.
