About

Emily is an associate in the firm’s Banking & Finance team. Her wide range of experience includes advising both lenders and borrowers in relation to real estate finance, acquisition finance, project finance, renewable energy finance and general corporate lending. Emily also has experience acting on banking transactions involving distressed assets, distressed borrowers, and debt restructurings.

Within the real estate finance sector, Emily has experience advising on the financing of development and investment grade commercial property. Within the renewable energy sector, Emily has experience advising on the financing of solar, onshore wind and battery energy storage projects.

She also regularly leads multi-jurisdictional teams on transactions with international elements.

Experience

  • Assent: Advising on its acquisition of the Clarke Banks Group, a specialist fire engineering and building control Approved Inspector.
  • Facility for Energy Inclusion: Advising on financing the construction of 60 solar mini-grids in Zambia, connecting over 40,000 people to electricity for the first time.
  • Blackfinch Property: Advising on a loan to fund the acquisition and restoration of a large area of land in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
  • Craigard Care Limited: Advising on the pre-pack sales of Craigard Care’s business and assets, as operated from three care homes based in the North East of Scotland.
