About
Emma is an associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. She advises on large scale public inquiries and coroner’s inquests in addition to assisting with health and safety investigations.
She has experience in investigations as part of the Solicitor to the Inquiry team as well as advising Core Participants, and has advised companies on their role as interested persons at Coroner’s inquests.
Emma also has experience in assisting clients in both the public and private sectors with disputes and litigation faced by them. This includes a variety of contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, breach of director duties and professional negligence disputes. Emma has also practised in Guernsey.
Experience
- UK Covid-19 Public Inquiry: Providing the legal services required as Solicitor to the Inquiry. Including implementing document preservation, collection and review, liaising with Core Participants, adopting protocols for running an inquiry.
- Post Office Horizon Inquiry: Providing the legal services required by Post Office Limited as a Core Participant to the Post Office Horizon Inquiry. This includes advising on drafting of witness statements, witness support and document review.
- Train operating company: Advising and assisting a train operating company at the Pre-Inquest Review Hearings and substantive inquest hearing where it was designated interested person status.
